Evelyn Miller


Evelyn Miller joined Epitome Papers in March of 2018 with a background of letterpress printing, screen printing and bookbinding from her former position at Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Evelyn attended college with a degree in Illustration from Minneapolis College of Art and Design, she uses her design expertise to work with vendors and find Epitome's great gifts and stationery. In her free time, Evelyn loves to spend time outdoors horseback riding, watching a Twins or Wild game with her partner Andy, or exploring with her puggle Ryley in one of Minnesota's great parks

Lead Designer

Shannon is an illustrator immersed in designing for event stationery - inspired by heartfelt stories, unique challenges, and the dynamics that tie an event together. She has been working for locally owned stationery retailers since 2010, first in Florida before moving and joining Epitome in late 2012. At Epitome, Shannon is thoroughly familiar with all our special order vendors and printers, as well as being the in-house designer & printer - and is able to guide clients towards the best fit for their needs. Outside of stationery and weddings, she enjoys biking, storytelling, board games, and ice cream.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have invitation packages?

With how custom our work is and the breadth of vendors we work with, it would be near impossible for us to create packages. When planning your budget just know our wedding invitations normally run anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000+ Check out our Services Page for more information on our pricing ranges.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Since we just moved in January 2020, we want to make sure we are setting the right times for appointments in our new space. As of right now, you do not need to make an appointment, but it is highly recommended so you can get the very best experience!

How far out from my event should I schedule my appointment?

Depending on what printing method you choose, we would advise scheduling your appointment a minimum of 2-3 months before your event. 

Do You Print Everything In House?

One day we would love to have our own letterpress, but we just aren't there yet. We work with a variety of local and well-known vendors to find the right materials, printing expertise, papers, and design that best fits your event. For smaller events, or if you need something quickly, we do have digital printing available in-house.

Do you have Eco-Friendly Options?

Yes! At Epitome Papers, though "paper" is in our name we are very eco-conscious. A lot of our vendors have recycled or cotton paper options and eco-friendly inks. Just ask when you are in your appointment and we are happy to help!

When should I mail out my invitations?

It varies depending on what event you are planning. For weddings, we recommend sending your invitations out 10 - 6 weeks before your day. For other events that require an rsvp we advise to send them out 8-6 weeks. With events that don't require an rsvp, you can send them out 6-4 weeks.

Did you used to be in the Galleria?

Yes! Epitome Papers was one of the first stores in the Galleria when it opened, we were there until the original owner, Irene retired in 2000 and the company moved to Excelsior.

I am so stressed out, how much can you do?

We can do everything for you! We can print return addressing, guest addressing, and even stamp, seal and mail it for you. With every guest addressing order we send you a guide so you can organize your guest list in a clean and simple way.
