The History

The Beginning
Epitome first opened as a clothing store in the 1960's in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. The store was created then run by four women: Irene, Reva, Carolyn and Tudie.

Galleria
Epitome relocated to the just opening Galleria mall in Edina in the late 70’s as one of their first tenants. Over the years, the business was run solely by Irene. Epitome expanded to included stationery and gifts, and Epitome Papers opened as an expansion to the clothing store in the 2000's.

New adventures in Excelsior, MN
After 42 years in the Galleria, both stores finally closed their doors as Irene retired. Epitome Papers was bought by Alex and Dana, who relocated it to Excelsior. Dana & Alex had to sell the business once more, in 2019 the store was then purchased by Evelyn Miller.

We look forward to many more years of business and strive to continue carrying the legacy with exceptional customer service and attention to detail that Epitome is well known for.
